The Belle Epoch: the words conjure up images of the Moulin Rouge, Harry Houdini, and the great variety halls… To follow in its great tradition are now
"The Amazing Norvil and Josephine".
In this unique London-based stage
illusion variety show, Christopher Howell joins forces with dancer and acrobat Desireé Kongerod. The magic they perform includes a woman being sawn in two, a table that floats above the stage, and as a finale the two performers - in spite of impossible chains and locks - change places in mere seconds.
To compliment Howell and Kongerod's
world-class comic stage magic act, also featured is a scene with Desireé's
comical contortions or
graceful aerial hoop dancing (if hoop is available) as she is suspended above the stage being serenaded by Christopher's striking baritone singing voice.
Qualifications:
Christopher Howell: Member of the Magic Circle, Trained as a classical singer at Accademia Filarmonica, Bologna, Italy. BA in Theatre Arts & Studio Arts from Richmond, The American International University in London. Performs full time nationally in the UK and internationally.
Desiree Kongerod: Trained at London Contemporary Dance School and Laban Centre for Movement and Dance. Since then she has had a successful career as a
circus performer and a contemporary dancer touring throughout Europe, Asia and the United States
Quotes and comments:
"The act was a huge success. It never failed to impress... it was so imaginative the way you managed to combine the magic, singing and aerial act. Your entertainment most definitely set the mood for the evening and got the party started."
